Terry, you have a very nice looking family. Dad Golden is your father-in-law, correct?
This is a wonderful presentation, I know it took you a lot of time and effort.

Thanks,Terry, for your visit and comment. I count it as a "NO" vote, you noticed there weren't any "YESs" for poor Rosie.

I left this comment, I think it will stay:
"... Yes, we are not supposed to not like her but we are supposed to not like the things (some of them) she does.
That's why I don't want her on my TV, and why I change the channels.
I think the things she does aren't against our country's laws, but I just don't think she should air her 'views' that are so offensive to so many people and their moral values."

My values too! And it's my blog.

WOW! How much time did that tak/ It is all so beautiful! Good job!

Happy Father's Day, Mr. Golden! Here's a song for you:

Chris Rice - Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus)

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

Have a blessed Sunday!

Love and Prayers,
Rose

Dear Terry,
what a lovely presentation you have made of your family. It's a joy to the eye and the heart. I have studied them for a long time, and am impressed. There're joy, harmony and beauty. You have that seldom "Mona Lisa Look". Smile mixed with sorrow and a secret twinkle in the eye. Amazing.
On the picture from 1962 there seem to be eight children, can that be so??
The three medals, the first from WW2, Canadian Volonteers, the other two I cannot identify. The third must have the portrait of a young Queen Elisabeth, I presume.
Its the end of Sunday, and I have been doing nothing. Have been a little under the weather lately.
Tomorrow my best friend Turid, is taking me out for a walk in the mountains. Just a short daytrip. We usually do those once a week.
I thought I'd like to send you some pictures from the nature where I live, on the south western part of Norway by the coast. Should I send them in full size or deminish them to the "Attach for mail" format?
Thank you for being such a heart warm firend. Give my best to Dad Golden, Rose and the other pilgrim Pals. I'm looing them up now and then. You're a mighty gang. God bless each and everyone.
Love Felisol
PS: You've got a new system for posting, don't know if I'll get through.

We still wouldn't know except for "Felisol said" it.

I read your comment on BP's blog, you will have to come back.
Don't come back if laughing will hurt your what ails you because you will laugh! Not a lot of people will, but YOU WILL laugh.
..
P.S. I will pray for your recovery too!

Dear Terry,
I hope you're feeling better. There were some serious damages to your head and face I could see. How did you manage to smile so wonderfully being in so mech pain?
Hope you've had your head x-rayed and that there is no concussion or worse. (I'm always picturing the worst scenarios, and, alas, they sometimes come true.)
Nevertheless. Be kind to yourself, hurry slowly and let Barny pamper you a little.
Easy does it.
Still praying, also for Dad Golden.

Hello, Mrs. Shirkie!

You made a little mistake in identity recently, but don't worry, so did I, and Mrs. Ljung rescued me. You commented on Lauren Mary's blog that Heb 11:1 staye home to pray...Rose did. It's nothing, but just thought I'd let you know. You can delete this comment off like you do with the ads, if you want! :) And did you tell Jel? I thought you wrote me before and sd you did, but then I saw her name wasn't there...I hope you did. I'd like her to know. Thank you for the great friend you are. Such a blessing sent from God.

Oh no! See what time it is? I still havce to put the kitty to bed and feed the other cat, and shower, and...I've gotta run!

Terry said...

Sorry about that Hebrews11:1!
Yes I did send a letter to Jel and I am hoping that David sent one to Lauren-mary, as I didn't have her email address.
I think that Arlene suspects it on her own, eh?...Love Terry

Hello there!

Just a quick correction...I thought we'd be in the Post today, but today is the check-presentation, photography session. Our story will be in an advertising insert sometime this week in the Post. I'll let you know as soon as I know, okay? I don't want you to go out especially to look at the paper (like I did this morning!) and we're not there!

So, here I am. As I previously suggested, why don't you just "throw a party" as usual, like you did fr everyone else at Pals. Notify the Pals to each post a little birthday greeting for him...on a specific date.

Love,
LPP

Hello there yourself!

If you must have noticed Heb.. He hasn't been on Pilgrim Pals lately for a reason so what I thought I would like to do is just send a card via email from me and you, and Little Montreal girl and Sunshine and your other sibblings.
I will make it nice and I will send it!
Maybe I can figure some way of putting it on my blog so you will see it and I will be real discrete about the whole thing, alright?...Love Mrs. Shirkie..

What say?

Anonymous said...

Dearest Mrs. Shirkie,

That sounds great!
Can you share WHY he hasn't been around much? Is it because he was worn out from being there SO much? I miss him terribly. I always wanted to know what city he lives in, because I think he might go to the same church as some old friends of ours, and that would be cool. We haven't heard much from them since the moved about 2 years ago, but we know they were attending a Nazarene church.

Our birthday message would be like this:

A Happy Birthday to you
A Happy Birthday to you
May you feel Jesus near
Every day of the year
A Happy Birthday to you
A Happy Birthday to you
And the BEST year you've ever had!

May God grant you a year full of His love and grace, and may you grow even more closer to Him this year than last.

Lots of love
and many prayers,
LPP, Little Montreal Girl, HabsFan, Chutzpah, and Sunshine

My poor youngest brother...he was the apple of my eye until Sunshine was about one and a half years old, and all I can call him is Chutzpah! He'd probably rather I called him Pepe at least ;) That's the Spanish nickname for his first part of his first name. At least my other brother made it easy for me by commenting once as "HabsFan"...so original.

Have you seen the Pilgrim's encouraging post on his site and Pals? I read it and I wanted to cry...I wish Daddy would read it somehow, that's exactly what he needs to hear. He is complaining that he is an invalid...he has to work (no paid sick days) and he has to do it in pain...there is no remedy for his pain...we don't even know WHAT is wrong with him...the list goes on. He is being miserable, and this is what makes him worse. I didn't believe it, until I went through the lowest time of my life last year, and only when I found Scribblings, and when I began to be encouraged by all you Pals, did I begin to look at things brighter, and my health changed, too. I was startled today as I realized it's been over a year since that dark day when I saw my dear neighbor storm out to his truck and listened to it screech as he drove off in a huff. That was it...he was gone...but we weren't told for some time. Today is his wife's birthday. I thought of last year when I got together some verse cards for her...Love is patient...Seek the Lord while He may be found...The LOrd is near to all who call upon Him...I had no idea what was going on, but when we walked in and the children eyed us silently, and Mr. R. was nowhere to be seen, we knew something was wrong. We weren't ready for the news we received the next day that they were on a trial seperation, or a few weeks later when I was told he had been doing drugs and that was one of the causes for the break-up. I was so upset I cried myself to sleep for the first time in ages...and I think I did that a few nights, too. I miss him so much, still...if only they'd get back together and work things out.
Okay, I should stop rambling, eh?! Wait till you see what you get in your mailbox, Lord willing ;)
May God bless you richly,
Your sister in Christ,
Lil Pilgrim Pal

Hi sweetie!

Did
you
send
it???

I know, you haven't forgotten about me, you just haven't gotten a moment to write me. ;) That Little Missionary will be blessed with your beautiful post for her. Do you think you can do me a favor, since you can e-mail her and ask her for her mailing addy? Can you please send her one of those little books I sent you? I would really appreciate that! I found too many addresses with her first and last name in it, and since I can't e-mail her and ask her for her street address...but you can, and I would be really blessed if you could do that for me.

Daddy did MUCH better last night...he took Advil. That made me laugh so hard-- the dr. gave him strong meds for 9 wks. that did nothing, he takes Advil and the pain goes away for a night! Well, my Grannie was praying real hard for him, too, but I'm sure the Lord can use that stuff to take away the pain. He had a rough day today, though...Thank God that Saturday is just around the corner. I hope he feels better by Sunday, because that is the Remembrance Day parade in our suburb, and last year he took us to it. We had so much fun, we even got to meet two local MNA's...that's a first for us children!

You won't believe it...I messed up big time in that paper I helped with...I assigned one girl's writing to another girl, and in another poem she did I put her age as 7, instead of 11...and the poor gir's mom was going to use this paper to help her gain entrance to a private high school!! I feel so bad...they have to print the paper over, just for her! And the co-ordinators ust spent all that money on getting it printed...all wrong. And they even took the full blame for it, and I feel that I'm the guilty one, and if any mom gets mad at someone, it should be at me, whom they don't even know...

We stll anxiously await our front page in the Nat'l Post...

God bless you richly!

LPP
