Sunny Road But Frozen Roots!

I must say that as I was traveling the highways to work today, I was truly surprised. There was not a cloud in the sky and the day was streaming with sunshine!!
As usual, at work as I had a few moments, I slipped outside to take some pictures. The road was golden in the rays of the sun.
I discovered a treasure chest, just bulging with nuts and acorns which apparently the local squirrels had been busily filling during the fall.
Now although it wasn't really cold and I was without a coat, I was quite taken back when I saw a slim tree just by the lake with it's roots frozen solid !! Suddenly I didn't feel so warm anymore and went back into the house in a hurry just in time to take this picture of my client who was quite cozy in her bed and was taking a little rest from her reading!

Snow! Snow!! Go Away!!!

These two guys don't look very happy! One would like to be driving a motorcycle and the other would like to be running outside and finding grass to eat!Too bad fellows! The roads are slippery and the green, green grass of home is covered in white stuff!!
Stare out the window all you want. It won't change a thing!!

A Mixture Of Three Seasons

I snuck outside to snap a few pictures this cold winter morning
This little scene intrigued me! I saw in this tiny garden, a withered oak leaf, a remnant of FALL, with a white dusting of WINTER snow, the Star of Bethlehem plant with quite a few fresh green shoots, and some brave little daffodils, popping out their tiny heads, looking for SPRING!
Sad to say, the very next day we had a big snow storm! I surely do hope that the Star of Bethlehem and the baby daffodils have not been punished for their impatience. I will have to find out tomorrow!
