YouTube - Three Wooden Crosses sung by Randy Travis
I found this on You Tube. I hope I managed to get it.
If not I will have to ask Adi's Grampa for his help!

Sinners; Jesus Will Receive!
Monday evening the family was together at Rachel's
Our "American" relatives...Ha!!.. my brother Teddy and sister in law Lois are down from Iowa for a little visit.
Some time after supper my nephew "Little John" wanted Auntie to listen to a song that he really really liked and he knew that she would really really like!
Well she really really DID like it so much that she just had to make this post.
Reading it doesn't bring the tears to your eyes but if you have the time to listen to this touching song by Randy Travis, I do believe that you will be crying by the time you get to the last verse..
A farmer and a teacher
A hooker and a preacher
Riding on a midnight bus
Bound for Mexico
One was headed for vacation
One for higher education
And two of them were searchin' for lost souls
That driver never even saw the stop sign
And 18 wheelers can't stop on a dime
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
That farmer left a harvest
A home and 80 acres
The faith and love for growing things
In his young son's heart
And that teacher left her wisdom
In the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give 'em all
A better start
And that preacher whispered
"Can't you see the promised land?"
As he lay his blood stained Bible
In that hooker's hand
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood stained Bible up
For all of us to see
He said, "Bless the farmer
And the teacher
And the preacher
Who gave this Bible to my momma
Who read it to me
"There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them now
I guess we know
It's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway......
I would like to add here one of my favourite hymns.
Only a Sinner
(saved by grace)
Words by James M. Gray
Music by Daniel B. Towner
Luke 18:13
"And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes
unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner."
Naught have I gotten but what I received;
Grace hath bestowed it since I have believed;
Boasting excluded, pride I abase;
I’m only a sinner, saved by grace!
Refrain
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
This is my story, to God be the glory
I’m only a sinner, saved by grace!
Once I was foolish, and sin ruled my heart,
Causing my footsteps from God to depart;
Jesus hath found me, happy my case;
I now am a sinner, saved by grace!
Refrain
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
This is my story, to God be the glory
I’m only a sinner, saved by grace!
Tears unavailing, no merit had I;
Mercy had saved me, or else I must die;
Sin had alarmed me fearing God’s face;
But now I’m a sinner saved by grace!
Refrain
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
This is my story, to God be the glory
I’m only a sinner, saved by grace!
Suffer a sinner whose heart overflows,
Loving his Savior to tell what he knows;
Once more to tell it would I embrace
I’m only a sinner saved by grace!
Refrain
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
Only a sinner, saved by grace!
This is my story, to God be the glory
I’m only a sinner, saved by grace!
O I am SO glad that "This Man receiveth sinners and eateth with them." Luke 15:2
