Welland Sunset Over The Mall

Julie....my friend...This sunset is for YOU....Love Terry

Baby Karen at 41 Years Old

Today was an especially happy one for me.
I am one year older.
I just turned 57.
THAT is not the happy part though.
I don't think anyone likes to be getting older although it DOES beat the alternative!

No, today my baby sister was down from Montreal and we took some really nice pictures of her.
That is Karen waving at us...

That handsome guy in the first picture is my dad and I have put him there as a special request from my good friend Susan Adams, who tells me that we have all seen pictures of the mother but where is the father's picture?

Dad is just coming in the front door.

The next picture is Karen....and of course her guitar.
Karen to her guitar is like her sister is to her camera.
She never leaves home without it!

My mother tells me that she enjoyed a nice evening with her baby girl playing and singing hymns to her.

The next picture....Dad Golden and his two favorite daughters...His other four daughters are his favorite too!

Photo number 4...Ha!! Mom NOT wearing her stylish hat but Mom wearing her JAMMIES!! Therefore a black and white glossy will suffice THIS picture!

The next? Well that Bernie grabbed MY camera and snapped this picture.

Two can play at this game!

I snatched back my own camera and took this farewell picture of Karen and her brother in law and HE is definitely NOT the favorite!

Salvation For Us All.....

I took this picture at Katy's Tuesday evening.

Spotting a sail boat out on the lake, I zoomed in on it with my camera.

It made me think of the verse in Matthew 4:19...."And He saith unto them, Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."

The days are dark as we know, and are growing even darker as the sun is setting lower.
Nevertheless, we must be encouraged to spread the gospel still to our family, friends and those we meet along life's path and yes even to our enemies; all of these who know not the Lord nor believe in the great Salvation that is open to us all.

Luke 4:40..."Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick, with divers diseases brought them unto Him; and he laid his hands on everyone of them and healed them."

The sickness that we have is our sins and the Lord Jesus is willing to heal us, everyone!!!

Isaiah 53:5..."For he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed".

Emily's Celebration

I was going to compose a different posting tonight but I have changed my mind...It can wait for another day!

Tonight after the Gospel meeting, Bernie and I went to our usual place, Macdonald's for a quick cup of coffee.

When I went through the door, I met a Chrisian couple that we have known ever since we met them on a bus trip that was going to hear the Cathedral Quartet, who were having their "Farewell to Canada Concert".

With them sat a pretty little girl of about ten years old.

I am always attracted to children.

Quickly I ran to their table, explaining as I arrived, " I NEVER leave home without it!!"

I then, of course produced my camera!

They quickly wiped their mouths and without a single argument, let me take their picture, after which I asked them, "Well, and who is this pretty little girl?"

"Her name is Emily and she was just baptized tonight and we are celebrating."

"How wonderful!!"

Emily was baptized in the lake along with about 20 others who were also obeying the Lord by being baptized.

My prayer for little Emily and these 20 others is that they will truly go on living a true Christian life and that they will be a real testimony to those around them!

Acts 2:41...Then they which gladly received his word were baptized:
