Warmth and Loving Kindness All the Way From Norway

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

last week, at this time spring was in the air and bernie and i and the little red car were spotting robins all over the place..of course the grass is still a dull green but never-the-less, robins have returned from their long trip from florida and so that surely means it is spring, eh?

well, just this wednesday morning, southern ontario awoke to see that the idaho snow queen, who SHOULD have be changing into her spring finery and getting ready for her reign of idaho lilac princess, had dumped a huge pile of snow!! all over the place!..NOT nice!

that bernie fellow had to get out and do some clearing of snow from the little red car...and here he is retired for a year, and still having to work so hard and the little red car was just shivering!..NOT nice!

well, i was cold and shivering too inside our little white house but little did i know that mom ljung was sending me, all the way from norway, a warm gift....a homemade gift! and a lovely post card...so nice!

for sure and felisol's dear mom did come to the rescue.
here are some pictures of her knitting me a pair of warm stockings.

these kind hands..

took the time to make these beautiful, many coloured stockings..

for THESE cold feet!

and i must thank you so much dear norwegian lady who is serina's beloved gramma and kel and felisol's dearest mom and gunnar's sweet mother- in- law!

Proverds 31:
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

you sent those stockings right in the nick of time, because even though bernie DID clean off the little red car, the roads were so bad, we did not venture out, but stayed snowed in, inside our little white house!

Thank you SO much...love terry

28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates

Oh, Terry,
You indeed are singing my Mom's praise "in the gates."

I must go home soon to show her what you have done. Sure, she didn't expect even a thank you.
By the way Monten is her pet name, my Dad invented it, and all my friends from my youth and childhood use it when they talk to her.(So did we).
It began when my dad read to us about Taj Mahal, the mausoleum Sjah Jahan built for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. My Dad loved the story, and began to call my mother Mumtaz, which eventually developed to Monta or Monten.

So, even if my mother only got the little white house she still lives in, she for sure always has known, she is loved.
Good of you to talk so nicely to her.
I know she will appreciate it.
From felisol

Priceless, simply priceless....that is what those lovely stockings are! Isn't God just the very best?! He gives Felisol's precious Mom the yearning to knit the lovely stockings for you and then haves them arrived just in time for your spring snow! God is so good!

Many hugs.......

Sorry about the snow .. but I even 'rained or snowed' on my own parade today .. although it melted by noon. Will try to send some lovely daffodils and lots of lawn worms for the robins. Indeed a lovely gift from Monten :)
