For Mom Ljung In Norway

felisol who lives on the far side of the sea has her mother as a house guest and her favourite verse is John 1:16
"And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace."
and so i am putting this hymn in for her.

have a blessed lords day mom ljung, gunnar, felisol, serina and kel....love terry

For Felisol

romans 8
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

still thinking of you dear felisol and praying for all of norway...love terry

Happy Birthday Four Days Late to Felisol's Mom

it was felisol's [http://felisol.blogspot.com/] dear mom's birthday july 2 and here it is july 6 and so we will have to wish her a belated happy birhday...actually it is five days late because in her beautiful country of norway it is already july 7!
that's all right though because she knows that we love her, even though i am a little on the slow side!

now mom ljung is a blessed lady indeed..and so is her family...here she is with felisol, gunnar, kel, and princess serina!...in all of their arms!
her dearest husband who has gone on before and lives in heaven now is still always in her heart and so i have put him here in the picture. the blue forget-me-not flowers are her own..i lifted them off felisol's blog site!

and now, i am giving her for a birthday gift this little video..once, several months ago i put this same video in for amrita's mama but i don't think that mama will mind sharing it with mom ljung...it is such a cute scene!

and NOW i had better go to google image and find me a birthday cake for this dearest of dearest lady who lives with her children on the far side of the sea!

Our Ruby Tuesday Disappointment

http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com

three months ago dad golden called me to come and see him as he had something important to tell me and so i went..."i want to give you the money you will need to fly to norway."..oh i was so surpised!..you see the whole golden family loves felisol and dad golden is her prayer child..."oh dad that would be so nice!!"
well....as you can see by these empty red chairs standing under felisol and gunnar's tree, the trip did not come about....and it was suppose to be TODAY!

bernie and i had been so looking forward to meeting our loved family on the far side of the sea...we wanted to see their slim beautiful silver birch trees in person...this is the picture that felisol took of them....the picture just one of several that i have swiped from her blog!

i think that these are "forget me nots" and they are so delicate and so pretty!
norway "forget me nots!"

we wanted to walk with felisol beside the sea...with bernie on one side and felisol and gunnar and serina on the other side, i am sure that i would lose my fear of the sea...i have always been afraid of huge bodies of water...i don't know why.

and oh the wonderfulness of it all if i could have only seen this flock of sheep and lambs...oh! oh! oh!!!

and the bight silver path that the sun has made along the sea shore.

at the end of this rugged path is the shadow of a cross...so touching!

i have always had a fascination of windows that look out into lawns and trees and flowers and i am sure that this would have been one of my favourite spots at felisols'.

ha!! bernie would have loved to meet gunnar's car!..maybe gunnar would have given him a ride in it..

we probably wouldn't have had enough time to go and see the house where felisol and her brother, kel were born but it would have been nice.

this picture of mom ljung's sweetheart and felisol and kel's dad and gunnar's father-in-law and serina's grampa is my favourite photo of him..here he is sitting with his beloved granddaughter reading his most loved book, the bible...how precious he must be to the lord who he lives with now and how he waits for his faithful family...of course that family will see him again!

oh the treasure that felisol has in books!..i KNOW that i sure would have looked some of them over although time WOULD have been short!

and that kitty...i think i would have played him a little tune on the piano and i think i would have packed him away on friday and brought him to canada!!hahahaha!

maybe the family would have showed me their church...i don't know if they have their prayer meeting on a wednesday but that would be good.

mom ljung loves gunnar...

and serina loves her daddy!

felisol loves her merry-go-round horses...

and her brother, kel!

felisol loves the sea..

she is like a fish in water!...maybe i would have loved the sea too..who knows...when betty went to prince edward island, she spent most of her holiday swimming the ocean..she loved it!..how could two sisters be so different, eh?

well one thing i know for sure is that felisol sure has got her feet wet!

is gunnar saying hi?

is mom ljung saying welcome?

and is princess serina looking sad that we couldn't make the trip?...i really hope so!

this summer sky was photographed by gunnar and i must say, i have never seen any sky so stunning as this!..to have seen it in person must of been so great for felisol and gunnar and for them to have taken the time to get out of the car and snap a picture and share it with so many people was a kind thing!

gunnar wil never know how i love bon fires!..it has been so long that i have seen one..and alas, it will be another long time before i see another!

this must be the sun setting in the sky..

and so everyone will be sleeping in this lovely home on the far side of the sea!...............well, felisol, i have at least spent about three hours enjoying your blog and writing this post so all has not been lost!..if i never see you this side of life, i know that we shall all meet in heaven...in the meantime god bless you and you have a happy ruby tuesday...love terry

Warmth and Loving Kindness All the Way From Norway

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

last week, at this time spring was in the air and bernie and i and the little red car were spotting robins all over the place..of course the grass is still a dull green but never-the-less, robins have returned from their long trip from florida and so that surely means it is spring, eh?

well, just this wednesday morning, southern ontario awoke to see that the idaho snow queen, who SHOULD have be changing into her spring finery and getting ready for her reign of idaho lilac princess, had dumped a huge pile of snow!! all over the place!..NOT nice!

that bernie fellow had to get out and do some clearing of snow from the little red car...and here he is retired for a year, and still having to work so hard and the little red car was just shivering!..NOT nice!

well, i was cold and shivering too inside our little white house but little did i know that mom ljung was sending me, all the way from norway, a warm gift....a homemade gift! and a lovely post card...so nice!

for sure and felisol's dear mom did come to the rescue.
here are some pictures of her knitting me a pair of warm stockings.

these kind hands..

took the time to make these beautiful, many coloured stockings..

for THESE cold feet!

and i must thank you so much dear norwegian lady who is serina's beloved gramma and kel and felisol's dearest mom and gunnar's sweet mother- in- law!

Proverds 31:
19She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.

you sent those stockings right in the nick of time, because even though bernie DID clean off the little red car, the roads were so bad, we did not venture out, but stayed snowed in, inside our little white house!

Thank you SO much...love terry

28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
31Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates

Happy Birthday to Felisol's Sweetheart on the Far Side of the Sea

gunnar is a proud norwegian and i am sure that he doesn't mind a birthday picture of himself under the norwegian flag!

Norway's national flag is also displayed outside the home of a birthday person. On the birthdays of important people, the streets in Norway are decorated with flags.
now every year, it is the same thing...this man on the far side of the sea has to share his birthday with christmas.
well i just thought that he would enjoy this song from norway that bernie and i had ordered in from you tube!
gunnar is young at heart like his princess daughter, serina and so is felisol and mom ljung young at heart and so i think that they all will enjoy this delightful song!

...Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or Bends with the remover to remove. O, no! It is an ever-fixed mark, That looks on tempests and is never shaken. It is the star to every wandering bark, whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
William Shakespeare.
these are some lovely words that felisol quoted about gunnar for his 2008 birthday,
in fact you can read the whole moving post of gunnar's birthday that felisol wrote in her blog

http://felisol.blogspot.com/2008/12/december-twenty-second.html

once again gunnar from the opposite of the sea, we wish you a happy birthday....with love bernie and terry
