Can I Have This Ruby Tuesday Dance?

Dear Mary T http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/ These pretty ruby dancing slippers are coming in right handy for Rachel's Golden Retriever Riley...that's his name but his Uncle Bernie calls him DD.
Well this is what happened to DD Christmas Day;

THIS isn't DD. This doggie's name is Kelsey but Uncle Bernie calls her Daisy! She has her glasses on so that she doesn't miss a thing. Mean while the owner of the glasses is blind as a bat as to what is going on.[Uncle Bernie]

What is Mama Rachel doing?
It seems that she is dressing up DD into a ruby red dancing outfit. He isn't even complaining,eh?

In fact he seems down right conceited about the whole affair!

"Mama Rachel, Just show Auntie the fancy shining jewels on the back of this baby. Plenty of great photo shots here, and ruby color photographs at that. That Furry Fluff guy has nothing over me! Eat your hearts out Furry Fluff, Daisy and Honey[Uncle Bernie calls HER Columbo}You just lay at my feet black Columbo...You with your sissy white stockings!

"Columbo is some sorry sport! Refuses to dance with me!"

"Mama Rachel tries to console me but no way!! SHE says she is too tired to be doing any dancing!

"My pleadings are useless! They are falling on deaf ears and she is cuddling that spoiled brat, Columbo. She always did like her better than me anyway!"

And I am just the cutest thing in my ruby red dancing suit!"

And the saddest thing!

Mama Rachel tells me"That's OK DD. Go and ask Uncle Bernie"

Uncle Bernie says he can't dance and I am sure that this is an untruth. Wasn't he just twirling and twisting around at cousin Amanda's wedding and at cousin Lena's wedding too? I SAW those pictures that Auntie took! Ya' can't fool me Uncle Bernie! You are just getting downright old and boring!"

Well this is more like it! My Aunt Amy is so happy to oblige me She is so young and full of fun..she sure is..Oh those dancing slippers provided by the Teach are just the cat's meow. They are the greatest!

Well!!!!!! What do you think of THAT Mama Rachel, Furry Fluff. Colombo, and Uncle Bernie. My big sister, Daisy has given ME the crown!!
The prize is on my head!

I am the dancing Queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean King!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, such a sweetheart you are DD, the favourite breed of my Malte (loaf doggie aka Norfolk terrier) because it's so cosy with all that long wavy fur, and I agree such gentle dogs they seem to be.

Happy New Year, with many more moments of wearing read and dancing!

She is really a dancing queen. So cute.

My Sheeba doesn 't like to wear anything.Thinks her fur is enough. But I must try to put on something red on her.

Dear Terry,
The most vivid and full of sparkle must be you.
I bet the others had a wonderful time, while you were ballroom hostess.
I sure liked the ruby Elvis like style of that outfit.

Maybe someday you can write a whole storybook in your Terry style.
You've got fantasy and playfulness, what more can a person ask for?
Have a Happy Ruby Tuesday the whole lot of Terry's bunch.
Tomorrow is New Years Eve.
Then Bernie bear better put on his dancing shoes to lead his princess into 2009.
From Felisol

Do you see the two pictures of one of my heroes here?
I insisted that since she gave me the lend of those ruby red dancing shoes that I should at least let her watch me win the dance, eh?..Love DD

I thought the saying was that clothes make the man. Well...Even a beautiful dog looks resplendent in red. So, clothes make the dog?? Not only a good looking canine, a playful friend as well. Happy New Year to you, yours and DD!

A case of mistaken identity. The real celebrity is Riley...Kelseys's small brother. Kelsey will get his sweater next Christmas.

Sorry Terry, you had them right. I didn't notice the first "isn't". In any case, these are good shots of Riley or DD as Bernie calls him. Riley could use that coat today...it's freezing out today. Neat photo of Amy and DD dancing.

Well, that's one sweet dog... and she dresses better than I do. What a nice story. Thanks for dropping by Raven's Nest. My kitties always love a compliment even though they don't get to wear crowns and fancy outfits.

Thank you for leaving the lovely comment on my blog as we are certainly neighbors in different countries..We love going up to Canada, even though it gets more and more difficult getting over the bridges. Stay warm as it is a cold one and have a very Happy New Year!
