MARY'S LAMB GOT SUSPENDED

Today I received this nice email from my friend Mary, who lives a few blocks away from Bernie and me.

She has arthritis really bad and she delights in sending her friends such nice email forwards and brightening up their day.

Now it is a rare thing for me to be sending forwards, so I thought that I would just post this one...

I am dedicating it to Grampa Ron because he also sends such nice forwards even though many days he, too is in such pain. He is under the weather for the last few weeks and so we, his blog friends are really missing him..Don't tell him that this mean Canadian lady[what he is calling me all the time] kind of likes him and kind of misses him too.

Bernie always looks forward to his posts. He calls him Santa Clause!!

Anyways here is the post. It is SO good and Soooo true

Mary writes....

"Think carefully about what you will be reading. This is a new one for me"...

Mary had a little Lamb,

His fleece was white as snow.

And everywhere that Mary went,

The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,

Twasn't even in the rule.

It made the children laugh and play,

To have a Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,

Illegal it became;

To bring the Lamb of God to school,

Or even speak His Name!

Every day got worse and worse,

And days turned into years.

Instead of hearing children laugh,

We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,

That's in our schools today?

Let's let the Lamb come back to school,

And teach our kids to pray!

Dear Terry
yeah, yeah, yeah.
When I grew up we prayed The Lord's Prayer every day at school in the morning and usually song a hymmn at the end of the day.
When I started teaching myself the principal said: "Well, I am not a believer, but praying is such an efficient thing to calm day the pupils and made them focus on being in the classroom, leaving the rest of the world outside."
I thought he was an ungodly brute then, but now I kind of see what he maybe unintendededly meant.
Praying does a lot of got to both children and adults. Where two or three are assembled in his name..
I don't think they're praying in Norwegian schools anymore either.
The arrival of the muslims and our fear of them not feeling welcome have change a lot.
It's not the foreign people to blame. It's us. We should stand for who and what we are. (Norway even has a cross in her flag). Then the immigrants would have to take it or leave it. They would know what they could expect.
I am not particular conservative, just mean it would be an honest thing to do. To show true colours.

Terry, you have a very nice neighbor. It must hurt her hands and fingers a lot to send e-mails.

We didn't ever pray in school, Nebraska didn't allow it way back in the 30s and 40s!
But a magician did come once and pulled sausage links out of my cousin's ear.
Before he left, he gave every one of us a Gospel of John booklet.

I hope you are doing well. I miss your reports about Pop Golden.

In India we can have prayers in school, christian and all religions. Non Christians learn a lot about our faith this way.

Dearest Mrs. Shirkie,

Can you please pass this prayer request on to all the Pals? I am so tired tonight, but I'd like to ask for prayer for my dad. He's been having arough few days. His foot is bothering him, which discourages him, but with everything there seems to be a spiritual root. He has been struggling --with exactly what I don't know-- but he loseshis temper at the slightest thing, and seems always angry at everything. The root of anger is unforgiveness and unresolved problems...I really don't knwo what it is right now. His father is a very angry man due in part to rebelling against (not accepting) God, and also due to his sons not getting along. The angrier he becomes, the more he forgets, and his memory has gotten so bad lately. I think this is weighing a lot on my dad...to hear day after day about his 87 year old father's failing memory and temper. Short-term disability pay also ends in a few weeks. To methat is nothing to worry about, after I only learned the other week for the first time that the year we lived off my dad's unemployment pay it was....let's say a few grand less than $25,000...and that was 7 of us. We never went hungry, or needy, and the only bill not paid on time was forgotten--there was money to pay it. If God took care of us then, He can now, too! The he has dr's appointments and scans coming up in the next 2 weeks. Anyway, my sister was so tired of his temper, she told him that she doubted it is really his foot bothering him, but rather his anger getting to him. His stomach/bowels have been bothering him all day, too. And I reminded him that every time someone is angry, their immune system is low for 6 hours...how can his body fight cancer if he is always miserable? It just is not like him, and seems to me to be a lot of things accumulated, and now cresting the banks...to overflowing. Can you please pray he will gte the victory? I want Daddy back...with joy. How is he going to win this fight if he is so down?! Can you please pray for my grandfather, too? I read him from the Bible for the first time the other day..."to practice my Spanish" I used as an excuse, but chose the passages carefully. I really wish I could get them to the church that is about a 20 minute drive from our homes...somehow! And I wish my dad and uncle would get together, too. It is really sad. I miss my cousins, too. No one wants to swallow their pride and call the other one. Thank God for my brother, who has chosen to break out and calls his friends, and stays around our grandparents' home just to spend time with our uncle when he drops in. It is really refreshing to see.

Thank you for listening...and praying. Life is so rough...Thank God He is our fortress in time of trouble. We WILL make it through.

Love and Prayers,

a very weary Lil Pilgrim Pal
