Why I Love The Lord.

On September 13th, my friend, Morgan Denise.... Splash of Color in Your Day "tagged" me to list five reasons why I love the Lord.
I thought I would list five of my favorite verses and that would explain the whole reason why I love Him so....

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke 18:13
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner

Ezekiel 16:8
Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Luke 15:20
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

Deuteronomy 33:12
....... The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders............

Joy! joy! joy! there is joy in heav'n with the angels.

......

Joy! joy! joy! for the prodigal's return;
......

He has come, he has come,
......

To the Father's house at last;
.....

He was lost, he is found,
.....

And the night of gloom is past.
.....

Blessed hour of joy and communion sweet,
......

For his heart is full and his love complete;
.....

His Father sees him and hastes to meet,
.....

And bids him welcome home
.....

Joy! joy! joy! there is joy in heav'n with the angels;
.....

Joy! joy! joy! for the prodigal's return.

Dearest Terry,
Angle = tool for catching fish.
Angel= God's tool for helping & guarding all fishes caught by the man fishers.
You must have used both eagerly in your hole life, if I know you right.
(P.S. Br. Ole told me that angels don't have a bellybuttons. They are created, not born.)
Have a Godly day with your loved ones. I know I will.
Yours Felisol

My dearest Terry...this is my favorite post that you've done. Positively lovely.

The prodigal son is one of my favorite parables. To think that the father is keeping an eye out for his wayward son...and runs to meet him and hugs and kisses his neck.

Oh thank God that we have such a Father. Praise Him.

Blessings to you dear one...and praying for Dad Golden!

Love you...Susan
