Happy Anniversary To My Hubby

Bernie, it was not this cold 36 years ago on March 11th when you carried me over the threshold[which I must add, that if you tried THAT again, you would surely break your back!]
It is a cold freezing night and I am making this anniversary post for you and there you are curled up with the cat keeping you warm, and the pair of you sawing logs and snoring! How romantic is THAT!!
This picture was taken yesterday..The house is just surrounded with icicles!
Amazing grace man, Ron was supposed to be sending us some warm weather from Georgia but I surely believe that the snow queen from Idaho , Mrs. Mac sent us a whole pile of snow instead!
NOT nice!!

Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

MARY'S LAMB GOT SUSPENDED

Today I received this nice email from my friend Mary, who lives a few blocks away from Bernie and me.

She has arthritis really bad and she delights in sending her friends such nice email forwards and brightening up their day.

Now it is a rare thing for me to be sending forwards, so I thought that I would just post this one...

I am dedicating it to Grampa Ron because he also sends such nice forwards even though many days he, too is in such pain. He is under the weather for the last few weeks and so we, his blog friends are really missing him..Don't tell him that this mean Canadian lady[what he is calling me all the time] kind of likes him and kind of misses him too.

Bernie always looks forward to his posts. He calls him Santa Clause!!

Anyways here is the post. It is SO good and Soooo true

Mary writes....

"Think carefully about what you will be reading. This is a new one for me"...

Mary had a little Lamb,

His fleece was white as snow.

And everywhere that Mary went,

The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day,

Twasn't even in the rule.

It made the children laugh and play,

To have a Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day,

Illegal it became;

To bring the Lamb of God to school,

Or even speak His Name!

Every day got worse and worse,

And days turned into years.

Instead of hearing children laugh,

We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime,

That's in our schools today?

Let's let the Lamb come back to school,

And teach our kids to pray!

Mrs. Mac's Winter Carving

Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Dear Mrs. Mac...I didn't forget about your winter carving this year.
I took this picture a while back and have tried to find the time to put it in, and now with our precious Arlene's having gone to heaven, I thought I would use this opportunity to put it in.
What I had been really thinking of the last week or so as I have looked at the carving of your name on our front step and then to notice how as the snow slowly melted away with the warm sun rays, and your dear name disappeared, it struck my heart as I thought of it, that although your name was finally gone, that it is so precious to know that in the Lamb's book of Life that your name and our names will be forever etched in the Lord's Book and there is nothing or no-one that can blot those names out!
I am thinking of Arlene this evening...She has her name written there and now she is at home.
We will surely miss her sorely but we know that we will see her again!

1 Thessalonians 4:13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

Revelation 14:13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Thank you dear Amrita for letting me use your picture!
