Ruby Tuesday Bits and Pieces at Mom and Dad Goldens'

http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/ a couple of weeks ago, bernie had to put the clocks in dad and mom goldens place ahead one hour...there are about 15 clocks or more so it was quite a chore.....and it was quite a chore to get out of bed an hour earlier the next day! bernie had to change a few more clocks in dad golden's tv room....the light red cap is a prize procession of dad goldens, given to him by a local politician...mom golden has filled the walls with pictures! one of dad goldens' doves was watching the goings on from the branch of a tree...you see, the doves were still up because it was only 5:30 in the evening that bernie was changing the clocks..dad golden is one for having things done early! this little sweetie in great gramma's arms is grace's granddaughter..it seems that every time her mommy, marie and her daddy eric, bring her along to see great gramma and grampa golden's place, she ALWAYS dresses her in some shade of red!..what is a great aunt to do, put her into a ruby tuesday post? grampa golden gets a fair share of holding little olivia too! mom golden takes a little time to play with her new sewing machine..she is having lots of fun with it...why she is ONLY a young 81, eh?...why not?...and did she wear that pink shift on purpose?...i think so! amanda brings over her little black doggie with his pink ribbon leach to see gramma and grampa golden...she is sitting beside her mom, grace. gracie is looking at the canadian blogger!..ha! the end of a long day and here lies the two grammas...almost ready to fall asleep! happy ruby tuesday everyone and god bless you all....love terry

Dear Terry,
Great pictures. Your family sure is something special. I'm most impressed by Mom Golden and her sewing machine. She's looking so professional.
I think that using ones mind and hands are the best way of keeping young. Little Olivia is some great charmer. Her great granddad Golden is entirely absorbed by her. I never saw him this charmed before.
You have a great family and they all are especial to me.
Bernie reminds me, that I forgot to remind Gunnar to change Monten's watches when we were in Sauda till yesterday. So many details to take care of.
Well, my Mom has a lady coming to support her while going to town and by groceries. She'll most certainly fix the clocks as well.
Thanks for another great Welland report.

This is such a beautiful and sweet post, Terry. I love all the photos, especially the one with the two grandmas snoozing. I thought I was the only one that had lots of clocks, but I think Grandpa Golden has got me beat. lol
Thanks for sharing
Sue

Hi Terry love your beautiful pix.

Olivia is the sweets with her grandparents.

Mom and Dad certainly are the time keepers of their area.

The warmth and comfort of their house is clearly brought forth in the pix.

The last one is adorable - two if then on the sofa and I love the dog sheet draped on it.

What a wonderful set of pics. Hard to believe your Mom is 81, but then so is my Dad in his 80,s. Where have all the time gone to. I so enjoyed the clock pics and remembering that not only did the clocks go forward I had to go to work early. I was robbed of my favourite pass time "Sleeping" that night!!!!!. I have a new sowing machine here as well, but I have no clue how to use it !!! Maybe one day some one will show me, I am sure I will pretend to look interested!!!. t was bought so that Dad's lovely wife could use it.
I had no frsh new pics for Ruby Tuesday this week and worse I was so busy catching up with stuff, However I did manage to get a few now and will post a Ruby Tuesday next week.

That said I will be posting a Quote from Christ to-day, I promise that one however I am not sure in what direction it will take
As always I miss you and your family a lot. Say hello to Sandra for me!!!!and of course the rest of the family

for now

After all that excitement, I'm sure the grandmas deserved their nap!

Its color would go to my head!”
