The Coming Of The Lord

Saija ....http://saija.blogspot.com/.....sent this picture and verse over to the Pilgrim Pals and ever since I read it this, song has been running through my heart.
I remember as a child that when we sang this song, we were told that it was a wrong thing really but I know that the Lord who looketh on hearts knows the desire that is on His dear children's hearts as they long for the salvation of their loved ones...And sometimes sing this song!

"WAIT A LITTLE LONGER PLEASE JESUS"
by: Hazel Houser

Here the labor is so hard and the workers are so tired.
And our weary hearts are longing for a rest.
And we find we're getting anxious to be in that happy land,
Where we'll enjoy some peace and happiness.

CHORUS:
But wait a little longer, please Jesus.
There are so many still wandering out in sin
Just a little longer, please,Jesus,
Just a few more days to let our loved ones in.

We may look into the skies and tears will fill our eyes,
For our weary hearts grow heavy with each day.
First we cry, "Oh, Lord please come, come and take your children home,"
And then we look around us and we say:

CHORUS:
But wait a little longer, please Jesus.
There are so many still wandering out in sin
Just a little longer, please, Jesus,
Just a few more days to let our loved ones in.
The family's scattered here and there, but Lord, we love them dear,
And maybe we can help them find the way.
Well if waiting is the cause that they might not be lost,
Lord, that's the only reason why we say:

CHORUS:But wait a little longer, please Jesus.
There are so many still wandering out in sin.
Just a little longer, please, Jesus.
Just a few more days to let our loved ones in!..........
Revelation 22:20.........He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

i know that hymn and the longing for loved ones to be saved ... when leo and i married, he didn't know the Lord - that came 3 years later ... 3 years of earnestly praying for my husband's salvation, and God was so good to me in opening leo's eyes to HIS TRUTH ... all the prayer for your dad is not going on deaf ears - God hears your hearts cry ... may HE answer soon ... blessings to you!

Dearest Terry,
how can we allow ourselves to doubt? I am convinced that the Lord is calling day and night for Dad Golden, according to his unbreakable promises. He will not give your dad and my prayer child rest until he's home free.
Who can resist the Lord's calling, when he's crying out day and night.
I cannot help believing that that brave and kind man, who has done nothing wrong will like to embrace Christ as his Saviour.
It's just this threshold step that has become so high.
He has been a rock for so long.
It's easier on women, we are not burdened with the John Wayne complex.
I am thankful that my Gunnar, who has had to be strong and carry others for so long, has come to his senses and laid his burdens upon the Lord.
The funny thing is, that when we're improving in health issues or other trials, it's not that easy to be humble anymore.
"His ways are higher than our ways,"that's for sure.
Thank you for an autumn flooding visit on my site. You are the warmest and most empathic person I know of,- and you "read" pictures astonishing well.
Serina is on her fourth antibiotics cure while being on her new school.. You might remember her in prayer too. They say that arthritic fever licks the limbs, but bites the heart. We will not know until next summer how her heart condition really is.
It better be good, I pray the Lord.
Good night
From yours Felisol
