Waiting

This post is borrowed with permission from my friend, Amelia....dRaGoNfLy WiNgS who lives in Malaysia.
I must say that it is a very timely piece!
..............

"It is like an endless game which life forces me to play. To test my patience. To question my ability to 'let go' and not try to be in control all the time. Often times, i ask myself "Is it worth it? What if the very thing i wait for... never happens? Or turns out to be not what i expected?". The answers elude me still.

Then i came across this.... teaching me to appreciate the 'present', to make the most of every moment"..............

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask the student who failed a grade..........
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby..........
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper...........
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.........
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who just missed the train........
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident............
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask a person who won an Olympic silver medal..........

Dear Terry,
your precious time analyze sent me back in time to the 60s, when this song was sung all over the world.
A like stuff that makes my brain tick, questions and unfamiliar points of view.
Often when in hospital I've thought, if/when I'm home free, I'll never complain about anything ever.
I do try to appreciate all the little things in life, reading a book, talking in the phone, drinking water fresh from the kitchen faucet, sleeping, dancing, laughing e.t.c.
After two weeks I begin worrying about money for a new car..
Bottom line is that the best time is now. Seize the day.
Words-adapted from the Bible, book of Ecclesiastes
Music-pete seeger

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late

Yeh Miss Patty?
And what you have done for me I would like YOU to know..
"The Mrs. Mac Connection"..you and Sara and Arlene and Margie, etc. etc. etc. have encouraged me and made me laugh sometimes when I needed it!
Ever since I started reading you at Mrs. Mac's I have loved you and it was a blessed day indeed that you finally commented on my blog!
"Nuff said!!

Felisol, I used to just love that song whenever I heard it on the radio.[that is Miss Patty when we could sneak Dad Golden's radio into our room behind Mom Golden's back no less!! Ha!!}
I remember that that is another passage in the Bible that we had to memorize in school...those were the good old days when the Holy Bible was still allowed in the schools and our Literture books included some really needed scripture memorization.]...Love Terry

Hello Terry, Just coming by to visit you....=). This day has flown by. I was up very late last night reading and so I'm a little sleepy now. (no regrets, that book was very hard to put down, at last at 3 a.m. my eyes refused to focus) What book you must be wondering?...'The Atonement Child', by Francine Rivers. Hope all is well you & yours, and wishing a happy Sunday for you.

Good morning, Terry,
We have not come this long on our Lord's day either. Last Saturday night/Sunday morning the clocks all over Europe were set one hour back to wintertime.
I hate it.. The evenings are getting so much darker in a giant leap.
In fact this day, now it's 2pm, it's already darkening outside. That must also be due to a overwhelming black/ gray rainy sky.
Now's the time for candlelight and indoor activities.
Lots and lots of music, birch wood on the fireplace and a spicy Sunday dinner.
How are the polar bears in Manitoba?? Have they woken from their summer sleep? Or is it all a Reader's Digest bluff?
Your Felisol

Too bad, my Felisol that we couldn't send some of that rain over to California where Shelby and her baby is!

I think that the Polar Bears are mixed up with the mild weather we are still having!
Our time doesn't change until next Sunday..
At least you got an extra hour to sleep!!...Love Terry

Dear Terry,
How are you really.
I haven't seen you on the Pals' or anywhere else for at least two days.
Hope things are going well and that you only are making a very short pause.
Is Dad Golden alright? I am praying for all of you, you know.
G'nite.
From Felisol
