Dear Terry,
Youare such a productive woman, I find your footprints all over the bolgs I visit. Wow, you are a busy pilgrim. And I love you for that.
Happy birthday to Canada. I am an ignorant who do not know that much of Canada.
The date, however, is so familiar. It's my mother's birthday as well as my brother in law's.
I have allready been talking to her via phone. We'll not go to visit for the first time ever. We'll have to stay home because of Serina, who by the way is getting better every day. Hallelujah, I'd like to shout.
Our old king Olav, who deid in 1991 also was born on July 2. My mother used to be proud that the whole country flew the flags for her and the king.
Did you by the way know that during WW2 there was an area in Canada called little Norway. They educated Norwegian war pilots.
Yuor Dad Golden might perhaps know something about it.
Both our king and crown princess visited Little Norway sevral times during the war.
I salute Canada and all her inhaitant and wish you a happy day of freedom.

Hey! This was posted on July 2!! Now everyone is thinking that Canada Day is July 2...actually it says that on one of our calendars, but it was printed overseas (in Korea), so go figure!

From,
Lil Pilgrim Pal and Lil Montreal Girl

PS I have a story just for you that I'm going to type up on Pals comments...somewhere. Hope you can find it!

I had a wonderful day. I hope you had a good Canada Day, too, eh? I copied your picture so I could have a close-up look at your hat. I love it! Do you have a pattern for that? Is it crocheted?

Love, Sabine

(Didn't want to post as a blogger, because I haven't updated my site in a long time and don't want to send people there to be disappointed)

Dear Terry,
well, Serina was right then, she pesistantly claimed that Canada Day was the First of July.
Sorry if I have offended anyone.
I should of course have listened more to that little one, she's not so lost behind, like her mother likes to think.
She has gotten her exam papers by now. They were not bad. In fact she got a straight A in English Oral as an average grade through oout the last school year. We're so happy for her.
She has gone to school for thirteen years and is nineteen now.
Next year she will be following a course at a ywca/ymca boarding school.(In Norway 85% of the population belong to the official Norwegian Evagelic Lutheran Church, amongst them our Serina). To find herself, as we put it. She'll be studying photo and journalism and even join excurtions for London, Asserbajan and California.
Oh, we so much thank you all for praying for her, anf hope that the time before her leaving home will restitute her fine.
I put my thrust in the Lord making his work and promises perfectly.
Well, are ye Canadians having a blue Monday today or what??
Hope yesterday was fine for all of you.

Yes Hebrews 11:1..
For sure it WAS posted July 2, but I have a few friends in BC, so it was almost on time...[what is 4 minutts late, anything?]
Plus I was still up and it seemed liked Sunday night to me!
And plus, I had to get a few blogging frends looked at!!

Sorry about that Felisol!
It was my mistake.
Acutally it was already July 3 in Norway, even another day late!
You sure didn't offend anyone.
We are all just so happy to have a Norwegian family under our Canadian and American wings!
We are so blessed!
I knew that Serina would get an A.
She worked hard and WE prayed and God gave her the victory!..Love Terry

WELL TERRY, ALL YOUR HELPERS APPEAR TO BE ABOUT AS HELPFUL AS JOB'S WERE!
SO, I SURE DON'T KNOW WHEN CANADA DAY IS, IT MIGHT BE TODAY FOR I COULD FIGURE OUT.
MY CALANDER WAS MADE IN THE USA, THEY MIGHT NOT BE ANY MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE THAN HEBREWS' KOREAN ONE.
KAREN SAID NOBODY IN CALGARY KNEW EITHER. [I PERSONALLY THINK CANADIANS JUST LIKE TO STRETCH IT OUT AND NONE OF YOU CAN REMEMBER.]
SO SHE CALLED ME FROM THERE TO ASK WHEN IT REALLY WAS. I TOLD HER OUR CALENDAR SAID. I LOOKED AND FOUND MONDAY, JULY 2. WE ALL BELIEVED THAT BUT NOW ... ?

Anyway I hope it was all happy and as far as I'm concerned you can celebrate it right on through our 4th of July.
Had you named it the 2nd of July or the 1st of July then everyone would remember.
..
BTW, Mexico, and Texans that help them celebrate it here, have 16 September and Cinco de Mayo as a couple of famous holidays.

"* The Holidays Act provides that July 2 is Canada Day when July 1 is a Sunday." Re:

I can't stop laughing, Jim! It takes YOUR EXCELLENT research to tell us Canadians about our own holiday!

Maybe my "grandpa" is right when he tells me that Canadians are 50 yrs. behind...Whatever...this is the best part of living on both sides of the border!

Ha!!
Jim! All I know about it is that Monday was a paid holiday here!!
So there you go!

What boggles my mind though Jim, is why you would protect a person who told you what a bad singer you are!
I mean it is nice and all that you are our own offcial "Singing Telegram".
We really do appreciate it, we surely do, but you DO need to go to some singing lessons!!...From Terry
