For Sandy

What Is A Cat

Gentle eyes
that see so much,
paws that have
the quiet touch.

Purrs to signal
"all is well"
and show more love
then words can tell.

Graceful movements
touched with pride,
a calming presence
by our side.

A friendship
that will last and grow,
small wonder
why we love them so!........[author unknown]

love from Bernie, Terry and Shopper

Thank you Terry...Now I get to cry again!! Oh my! Not again!! This has been some very bad days. I just found out today that my dad has been taken to the hospital in Arizona. He was not good when my brother and my mother got him there. They said they made it in time. He has pneumonia. They are keeping him for 2 days. He is much better now but is still on oxygen. He is on anti-biotics. What a bad 3 days with Lucy and now my dad!! Thanks for the memorial for Lucy!! SAndy

Terry it is so easy to do these blinkies. I could show you in no time. Do you know someone that knows something about computers? I could try to write it up for you in an email if you would like for me too? Sandy

Terry said...

Yes Sandy..maybe that computer whiz, Noel Lewis will help me but I still have to write up my link addresses for him. He is the one that put the links on for me and the young man that fixed up my previous posts.

Those cats looks so nice on your blog site. So comforting Flip Flop!....Love Terry

Sounds as though your kitties are as important to you as ours are to us.

Happy New Year.

Thanks for visiting my blog. We have 4 cats right now...and an old dog. Would have more cats but Raf doesn't want to...or didn't until our Christmas Turtle came (see my blog) last week.

Here in Texas, right now, it is 42˚F! Man, has the weather changed around. We have had one snow this winter, but that is about right for us. However, we are in a terrible drought right now.

Take care, and, again, Happy New Year.

I read over at Maggie Ann's that you're not feeling well. Here's a hug and prayer that you feel better soon. You give so many people encouragement with your lovely posts and comments. Fell better soon friend.

Hi Terry, how nice to hear from you at my blog. Thats a good idea to download blogs and catch up on 'reading'. Speaking of reading, I just finished "Brentwood" by G.L.Hill and LOVED it...again. Now I'm on the Substitute Guest and enjoying that. Its so nice we have a love for the same authors. I like that! We're old-fashioned..some would say, but I like us this way =). I'm sorry to hear that you have the flu...how miserable that must be. Did you get a flu shot? We have a big "D" virus going around our church family, some for the 2nd time! I prayerfully hope we don't get it. We want to go visit our daughter and that would make travel miserable. Everyone is sleeping but my son & I and we are both online. There is something so relaxing about blogging isn't there. Hugs to you friend, pamper yourself and take it easy and may the Lord give you a speedy recovery!

Terry...

I have been going through some of my older posts, cleaning up spam, and I have noticed comments you have dropped here and there.

You said in one of them how sad it was...

It's true.

Sometimes life is very sad, very hard.

Strangely, I am a rather upbeat, optomistic, happy person.

I get a little down now and then, and sometimes things hurt...

But I want to emphasize that overall, my life is incredibly, amazingly, wonderfully blessed.

So... if now and then you run across posts of mine that explore how terribly people suffer, including myself now and then, please remember that overall, it is absolutely wonderful.

And I think that is the point of the Book of Job. It isn't about how the innocent suffer or such trivial trite things folks say... The Book of Job is about how we are to live our lives holding true, honoring our Lord, taking joy in all that is true and good and right, and offering it all, good and bad, back to Him as a living sacrifice.

The comments you have left in my posts strike me as words from a sensitive, deep, and sweet soul, who it has been my great pleasure to share a little of the wonders of my life, and I thank you so much for the great opportunity.

I want to extend a personal word to you...

I gladly pray for folks who need any sort of help at all, and I am always pleased to answer questions as forthrightly as I can.

So, consider this an invitation my sister in Him...

God bless.

How are you feeling today (1/3/07)? Thanks for stopping by my "little nest" today to visit the remaining birds at "home" ... All our snow has melted :( and green grass is showing in the yard (thought that'd make you smile). Hugs, and more hugs.
