Emily's Celebration

I was going to compose a different posting tonight but I have changed my mind...It can wait for another day!

Tonight after the Gospel meeting, Bernie and I went to our usual place, Macdonald's for a quick cup of coffee.

When I went through the door, I met a Chrisian couple that we have known ever since we met them on a bus trip that was going to hear the Cathedral Quartet, who were having their "Farewell to Canada Concert".

With them sat a pretty little girl of about ten years old.

I am always attracted to children.

Quickly I ran to their table, explaining as I arrived, " I NEVER leave home without it!!"

I then, of course produced my camera!

They quickly wiped their mouths and without a single argument, let me take their picture, after which I asked them, "Well, and who is this pretty little girl?"

"Her name is Emily and she was just baptized tonight and we are celebrating."

"How wonderful!!"

Emily was baptized in the lake along with about 20 others who were also obeying the Lord by being baptized.

My prayer for little Emily and these 20 others is that they will truly go on living a true Christian life and that they will be a real testimony to those around them!

Acts 2:41...Then they which gladly received his word were baptized:

Terry, thanks for your kind words on my blog about my friend. I have just had a hard time. I guess I just want to get past this now. We never know what God thinks about some things and suicide is a touchy subject. We all know it is wrong to kill and I think this is where our pastors come up with it is completely wrong. I have heard it called a deadly sin before. As you said and I believe it to be true...we will be surprised when we get to heaven....at who is really there!! Thanks again for your kind words. I just had to get that all out...Sandy

That is Soooo nice Leilani!!

Everytime there is a baptism, it brings me back to the time that my mother, my sister, Betty and my friend, Paricia were bapized.
And I cannot think but how short I have fallen in fufilling all it means!!
My mom is such a good example to me and so is my sister..

That little Emily looked so cute with her dripping hair and those big slippers she was wearing!

Thanks so much for your comment Leilani !!...Love Terry

I just wanted to thank you for your kind comments on my blog today. They really made me feel special. I am glad that you stop by.
Simon is some sort of cat. There is no way that you can pick him up. He just looks at you from afar but he is really a beautiful cat. I am glad that you enjoy his picture.
Again, Thanks so much...
