Three Cousins

Yesterday was a very happy day for my client. There were two visitors who entered into her little castle. Two cousins whom she has not seen for a long time. Welcome visitors from a "far" country.

I am so glad that I had the privilege of serving them.

The three "girls" sat on my client's bed and had a really good talk, and as they were looking at old family pictures, they sounded just like three young people laughing and exclaiming over old times!

I asked them if they would like a cup of tea to which they gladly replied, "YES! REAL tea, mind you, NOT that healthy stuff!!"

As they were still chin-wagging, I rummaged through an old china cabinet, looking for the finest dishes I could find for these special visitors, and finding the most delicate tea cups and the quaintest tea pot and the choicest cake plates.
The special cake that I had brought in for my client was just right for this moment. I cut big slices for the dear ladies.

As the ladies drank their coffee, ate their cake and continued to talk,my lady's "family" looked on and were happy spectators.

Ever since Mr.Frog has joined the household,my client has adopted three other little strays and they all gazed adoringly at the three cousins! Or maybe their eyes were gazing adoringly at the CAKE!

The afternoon passed far too quickly.

It was time for the visitors to say their good-byes to their dear cousin.

As the little ladies left and as they were driving down the long driveway, tucked safely into their little white car, I snapped one more picture, saying to myself, "Return soon little ladies to the castle. You will always be most welcome!"

NO cake for the poor American friends. HAH! I just loved looking at the pictures and reading your tale! Ty sat alongside snoozing in his swing. :) I also enjoyed the anniversary post too! Keep them coming! Love, Jessica

This was such a moving post Terry. And I really loved the table setting. If you don't mind, I would love to use it perhaps on a post on my Table Tales blog...

Terry...Tea always tastes better in a fine china cup. My little granddaughter and I have tea and cookies and we wear hats.
