When He Was On The Cross I Was On His Mind

when i visited david c brown's web site "grace notes" http://dcbverse.blogspot.com/ this evening, the words of his post touched my heart so much

david says,
"God loves me because
Of what He is, and because
Of what He’s made me."

i thought of this song of god's great love to undeserving us and so i am putting it in here.

david, i am happy that i ever did see you at amrita's and found your blog!
may the lord bless you and your whole family!.....

god bless you all and have a blessed sunday....love terry

Thanks, Terry for driving me to church twice this day.
Most touching was studying the moved face of the members of the congregation.
Honest and relieved by receiving "The good News". I could easily place both myself and Dad Golden in that congregation.

Hi Terry,
Hope you had a blessed day today. I like seeing your posts, although I don't generally listen to the you tube links. (We have a limit on the amount of bandwidth we are allowed)
Worship was powerful today, especially at the end. A young man in the band spoke this scripture over the congregation:
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

He spoke a different translation, but this was the passage. It was indescribably wonderful! After service, a friend of mine and I prayed over him to preach the word. He hasn't been attending a very long time in our body, that I know of, but has been a disciple for a while. He might maybe be 30.
I'm praising God for answering prayer and moving among our part of the body!

hi dimple..you had such a great sunday today..
we did too, it seemed the preachers all had the same idea in the worship and gospel meetings...the lord is coming soon!
what a scripture for that young man to quote.
do you have a band in your congregation?
great that your prayers were answered about him!
dimple..i am putting the lyrics to this song here.

"When He was on the Cross, I was on His mind

Written by: Ronnie Hinson & Mike Payne

As Performed By the Florida Boys

I’m not on an ego trip, I’m nothing on my own
I make mistakes and sometimes slip

Just common flesh and bone

But I’ll prove some day just why I say

I’m of a special kind

For when He was on the cross

I was on His mind

A look of love was on His face

The thorns were in His head

The blood was on that scarlet robe

And stained it crimson red

Though His eyes were on the crowd that day

He looked ahead in time

For when He was on the cross

I was on His mind

He knew me, yet He loved me

He whose glory makes the Heaven’s shine

So unworthy, of such mercy

For when He was on the cross

I was on His mind

For when He was on the cross

I was on His mind."

the hinsons wrote " the light house too".

THe words of that song are really very meaningful Terry.
On Sat. I went to a carol service where the preacher , lady from the US who pastors the Pentecostal church gave a beautiful message on how the cross is the real Christmas Tree. Without the cross Christ 's incarnation would have been incomplete.

You know something, I was playing with Sir Galahad and Sheeba barked at his mewing and purring and hid under my desk.

ha...that crazy doggie!
the fat cat here never paid one bit attention to that black kitty,
he was always jealous because i loved sir galahad the best...ha!!

glad you liked the song amrita...love terry
