Spanish Christmas Fiesta

http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/
mary t the teach!

last saturday, the spanish christians held their annual christmas party, to which the whole congregation was invited.
as bernie and i were both under the weather, we were unable to go but i did manage to make a large fruit salad for the party and the little red car who was NOT under the weather drove us out friday evening to deliver the salad to the hall where we put it into the big fridge.
the spanish folk would much rather eat "ensalada de frutas" than cakes, pies or cookies!

this is a close up picture of the fruit salad.

and this is the picture after i added a few spanish kids and their mamas and friends and sunday school teachers into the salad.
as we were not there to take photos, which i surely would have, i went to my folders and borrowed a few pictures from vacation bible school where there are so many spanish children who attended.

have a very happy ruby tuesday beloved teach and all of your ruby tuesdayers and all of the other dear blogger friends..god bless....love terry

Terry, I like your ensalada de frutas a whole lot! I predict there won't be any leftovers. You made it soooooo pretty and from what we can see it has to be good!

Happy RT! Thank you much for peeking in on the kid and Santa.

I do hope you and Bernie get to feeling better real soon! I will pray and check back on you.

Oh Terry, that was a beautiful and luscious looking fruit salad. It looks so yummy I could almost taste them in my tongue, lol. I will pray that you will recover quickly from being under the weather. The weather is really so cold, I hope you will get warm by the love and care of our Lord. Thanks for the yummy post. God bless you all always.

Dear Terry,
Your fruit salad is generous, in size, colors and contents.
I'd prefer that salad to any cookie any time.
The Spanish sure know quality when they meet it. I guess that's why you are such great friends.
Now I hope Bernie and You will go to see the doctor pronto!
You have been under the weather for such long time now.

Oh my gosh, dear Terry...this is such a tasty, luscious looking fresh fruit salad! I love fresh strawberries, and your salad was full of them!

And the pictures... and the love... and the care.

I am so sorry to hear that you and bernie are not well, but well enough to make the salad and bring it over!

DO you speak Spanish? Both Ernie and I have a bit of spanish ancestry in our lineage. My name Maria Lidia Feliza is all Spanish, and so is Ernie's real name (Ernesto). My mom spoke Spanish to us when we were little.

Well, I pray you will soon be well, dear Terry.

Well enough to visit my latest blog post and leave an encouraging message again!

Love
Lidj
