Ruby Tuesday.. The Red Baby Oct.14/08

Mary...The Teach

Last night when Bernie and I arrived at the house of our niece, Rachels for a Thanksgiving get-together, I noticed these pretty red bushes on each side of the sidewalk with just the hint of a rusty maple leaf tree peeking through, from the next street over.
I just KNEW that I would be getting some nice autumn pictures for "Ruby Tuesday"!
I THOUGHT I would be anyway!!
No such the luck though, eh?
Amanda, another niece of mine had brought her baby, Daniel over for the festivities, and he was all dressed in a little red jumpsuit, that was trimmed with yellow.
This little guy was the life of the party!
Here he is with his Mommy petting Rachel's Golden Retriever. He was having such a good time with "Daisy" that it was a shame that Amanda had to to convince him to come and sit down on the couch where his Gramma Gracey and his Great Gramma Golden were waiting to have a "four generations" photo. taken.[a request made by his Auntie who truly believes that such opportunities should never be missed!]

As you can see in this picture, the little red fellow was not one bit interested in the future historical value of this photo!
No, with all of his might he struggled to get off of his Mommy's knee!
Here is Danial, making his way over to the coffee table. The golden refection on the table seemed to have attracted him.
With determination, he eyes that coffee table and he is deep in thought as he contemplates what he is going to do!
Oh yeh! He knows a EXACTLY what he is going to do!
"Oh no!" Is he thinking of getting on to that table, at the risk of falling off that very table, right on to his curly blond head?"
"Oh yeh! Great Aunt Terry, and you can you just TRY to stop me, eh?"
[Oh my, what a mischievous little smile he is wearing!]
With a step here and a step there and another step up, he is making his way to his goal of mounting the table.
Ha!! Ha!!. There is Danial riding that mahogany surf board....riding with all of his strength away from Mommy, Gramma Gracey and Great Gramma Golden. If they want that four generation photo shoot so badly, they will just have to settle for a THREE generation one, that's all! This FOURTH generation boy just wants to have a little fun!
Now where or where has that little dog gone?Oh where oh where can he be?"

Daniel bears quite the resemblance to his Great-Grampa Golden, I think. Does anyone else see that?

My children, grandchildren and all the little ones I've looked after over the years have been coffee-table surfers, too!

Dear Terry,
what a great report you made for Canadian Blogger Times.
You sure have got "it"in you.
I bet the you and the charmer Daniel had a lot of fun. Little did he know that you played him for a scoop!

Amanda in profile looked a lot like you, didn't she?
The Maple trees are fantastic.
I so understand why Canada has a Maple leaf in her flag.
All the best from Felisol

Beautiful foliage you found there. :D

Daniel is adorable. My kids liked to do the same thing. We have a big square coffee table, very sturdy, and the girls used it as a stage.

Little ones are like that (uncooperative), aren't they? I've banged my head against the wall trying to get a good photo, and about the time you give up they sit and smile! :)

Hi Terry -- I had forgotten you do the Ruby Red Tu thing. This is a great post, nice pictures you have of that kid.
I see his mom got up from the couch to help him up if he falls on his nose. Good for her.
We were in Canada one year for your Thanksgiving. It was nice but since we were touristing it was just a slow day for us.
