Sheltered In His Arms

Sheltered In The Arms Of God....................

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender..........

They're leading me in the paths that I must trod..........

I'll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me..........

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God..........

So let the storms rage high..........

The dark clouds rise..........

They don't worry me..........

For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God..........

He walks with me, And naught of earth shall harm me..........

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God..........

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven's portals..........

Come home my child..........

It's the last mile you must trod..........

I'll fall asleep And wake in God's sweet heaven..........

Sheltered safe within the arms of God..........

So let the storms rage high, The dark clouds rise..........

They don't worry me..........

For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God. He walks with me..........

And naught of earth shall harm me..........

For I'm sheltered in the arms of God. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Words: Dottie Rambo

Thanks Mrs. Mac..
This song has been so much on my mind today.
I am taking mom out to a Bible conference at the Falls for a couple of hours.
She has been vey tired lately and like Miss Patty does with her mom, we are keeping a steady eye on her and enjoying every moment with her that we can....Love Terry

Oh, beautiful! What lovely words!
They sound so restful and peaceful...
I have been sitting a this laptop nearly all day since 10:45, and I am tired...11 newspaper pages laid-out and 5 to go by tomorrow afternoon. I HATE not having a day of rest from this, but I console myself that it is not PAID work...no, that really doesn't console much :) And to top it off the last page I worked on included an article and a photo from a 13 y.o. girl on Harry Potter--and it was all positive stuff, so I thought I was going to scream at this screen. I didn't want to include it, but my task is just to put the articles on the pages, not select the entries. So, I wrote an e-mail to my friend the co-ordinator of this project, and let her know exactly what I thought about having to put that in this paper. Now I feel a little better.

Was I rambling there? I'm sorry, but I do feel better ;)

How are your parents? especially, how is your dad? My dad has a dr.'s appt. Monday, so please pray.

Thank you for your friendship! ;)

God's richest blessings on you,
LPP

Dear Terry,
I liked the text, though I've never heard it sung. Much of our old redemption songs are translated from English. (We also have our own Norwegian in addition)
Can the Falls you write about be the world famous Niagara Falls?
My brother was in Hamilton, Can about eight years ago, playing bridge. They went off to see the Niagara Falls, and my brother said they were even more impressive than on pictures.
If that's your neighborhood, you must be lucky.
Hope you and your Mom have had a good day.
Bless you all. Felisol

What beautiful thoughts! Dear Terry, its been ages since I've been over to see you. I've got so many things going...the days fly by. My spinning & knitting & cello take up what time is left over from living & loading the dishwasher...smile. I'm here tonight though, wishing you blessings. I want to visit down through some of your posts now. I'm really tired tonight..I had a big day. I drove to another town and spent 4 hours learning how to dye wool in preperation for spinning. Interesting...but tiring. I'm sure you know just what I mean. We are about the same age or close to it I think? I'll be 60 in Jan.

Dear Felisol.
Yes that is our area of living.
We are jusr 11 miles from the Falls, but you know how it usually goes, we take it for granted and don't really appreciate it.
I remember when Bernie and I motor-biked out to the Rockey Mountains, we were just amazed at the beauty all around us.
We stopped for a coffee at Banff and we were sitting right in front of a table where there were two young people and we could not help but overhear them,..."Man this is boredom city. We just hafta' get outta' here! Hey why don't we go out east and try to get a job at Niagara Falls!!"
Ha!! Easy to see that THEY took those wonderful mountains for granted, eh, Felisol?......Love Terry

What an incredible gift of song writing Dottie Rambo has. I have loved that song for years. It's all we need to know when we feel those storms raging...we ARE sheltered in the arms of God!

:-)

That's about I know to say, just checking in.

I might mention that I think LPP, you did the very right thing in letting be known your objection to the Harry Potter bit. It is way too violent and too dark.
At least in my way of thinking.

Hello, sunshine! Was that YOU? You have no idea how my day was brightened...this dreary day...I could walk forever, but then I would leave these precious struggling ones behind...I did not feel like walking to the river this morning, but now, glued to this laptop working on the paper, hearing my dad groan and breathe deeply as he struggles the few feet from his bedroom to the bathroom, seeing the worry in my sister's eyes, and the pain in my mom's...now I feel as though I could run to the river just to breathe in the refreshing air, and forget all my worries and cares...until I had to come back home again...He hardly slept last night--the pain came and went...he is working from bed today, propped up next to his laptop with his cell phone by his side constantly ringing...when will this nightmare end? Thank you for your prayers.

Love,
LPP

Dearest Mrs. Shirkie,

Today I am coming here because I have some GOOD news to report, Praise the Lord! I was up till after 10 last night working on this paper (I'm so glad we are coming to the end--Friday it will be e-mailed to the Nat'l Post for the competition), and today I felt too tired to walk the dog. My morning started brightly (if that's a word) when my dad WALKED DOWN THE HALLWAY all by himself! My mom gave a little scream of joy, and ran over to him, and threw her arms about him. You see, all day yesterday he couldn't put any weight on his foot, and even with keeping the weight off he was in excruciating pain. Today he is able to hobble about, putting a LITTLE BIT of pressure on it, but he has only walked down the hallway twice, I think (the hallway is about 10 feet long, and from his side of the bed to his door is just less than that). He still works from his bed with his cell and laptop...no paid sick days at this company! As though that wasn't even to brighten my day, I have convinced my neighbor (86 y.o. widow) to get out for a social for a change, and she is taking my sister and I tomorrow to a group for seniors 55+ to hear my friend at the local paper and his bosses speak about the newspaper and community groups. I could care less what they are talking about, I just want to hear him give a speech...his wife is the one who worked with me till late last night on the children's paper that he and his wife are co-ordinating. He was a high school teacher for 40 years, and when he speaks, everyone listens! So, I am going to go to this senior's group (giggle, giggle), and meet some more elderly people (I love the elderly!), and since this group meets at a synagogue, there will be lots of Jews (even better! I love it when they think am Jewish, and it opens doors to talk about the Bible!).
And as though that is not enough to brighten my day...I took my neighbor's rottweiller for a walk (we walk him for free just to help the elderly couple out), and was stopped by some Jehovah Witnesses in a car doing "voluntee work" as they said. That is interesting...I do volunteer work every time I step out my door, and even in my home when others come over...we are supposed to be lights for Christ wherever we go, so if evangelism is volunteer work--oh, these poor lost souls--of course, it's not voluntary, Christ asked it of us, and we do it for Him, knowing we have a reward in Heaven...I digress. So, these women tried to tell me that Jesus is a lesser God, that their translation is the most accurate, etc.etc. I tried a different approach than usual. I began by, when they offered their magazine, stating what I believe. Then I encouraged them from the bottom of my heart to have a relationship with God. I called Him Adonai for a little while, just to give them something to think about. But I did not realize how much Hebrew has become apart of my vocabulary when I blurted out Deut. 6:4 in Hebrew ;) Of course, I followed it in English! Before they left (I kept them awhile...they were wasting their time on me, and I li to keep them from finding others who are more vulnerable!), I reminded them that I KNOW I am going to Heaven...and I want them to share in that same joy.
Have I rambled a lot??? I am sorry, I only hope you can feel a little bit of that SONshine over there in Welland...it feels so good. Thank you so much for your prayers for my dad...please update the Pals, and please KEEP praying for him...he needs to return to work soon! Oh, andd please pray that my sister and I can be a witness tomorrow at the senior's group ;) I can hardly wait! We will be praying for your dad.

I love you dearly, and appreciate you A LOT!

Love and Prayers,
LPP
