A Day To Celebrate

This Saturday, after a busy day of cleaning and unpacking at Mom Golden's', it seemed like a good idea to take the lady of the house out for a meal.
Here she is, the lady, herself relaxing at the restaurant and talking to her daughter Gracey.
Now Gracey is her favourite daughter but so are all of her girls!
We are ALL her favourite although I do have my suspicions that Betty is really the favourite because she was always such a good girl!
Mom Golden's other five girls were really quite naughty by times!!!
Amy, Betty's daughter had given the cell phone to Gramma a week earlier and it is something that Mom had been wanting for a long time.
She really enjoys keeping tabs on everyone now and therefore we cannot get away with ANYTHING!
Not that we ever DID get away with anything because Mom Golden always had eyes in the back of her head!
It was NOT a pretty sight!
I am surely glad that she never had a cell phone when we were growing up!

Here is the Canadian blogger taking a rest.
The day just happened to be Betty and John's anniversary, so we had reason to celebrate.
Betty and John have been married now for 35 years.
They are catching up to Bennie and me.

Bernie is taking life easy too as this is a weekend off for him.

This is a picture of Betty and John and we are surely hoping that they had a good anniversary.

Bernie and I bought them a nice clock for their anniversary and it is really quite nice.
For each hour there is a small round picture frame where they can put the pictures of their grandchildren in.
Alas!
Even though they have five children who are past the age of 24, none of the children are married and therefore there are no grandchildren.
Their oldest girl, Rachel is the proud mother of three dogs, so Bernie and I lovingly call them the Belzner grandchildren!!

I was just complaing that you didn't post anything, and I click BACK, and here's your brand new post! Very nice. You look so lovely, it seems your face always shines! There was a lady I knew once, and she was an elderly godly lady, and her face did appear to shine. I didn't see her very often, and a few years ago she and one of the younger men who roomed at her home were killed for their faith...they lived in ON, you probably heard/saw it on the news, because it was a big story. I knew them all, a great godly "family" they were, 2 brothers-in-Christ, and their spiritual mother...

Oldests, by the way, are always perfect... except when they're not. My mom oldest sister was perfect in her mom and siblings' eyes, and she has told me herself she was a naughty child. I, on the other hand, "get away with everything" according to my younger siblings, and therefore am the "naughtiest, spoiled brat" ...it is just too funny! :)

God bless you,
Lil Pilgrim Pal

Hey Terry, it is good to see you again. Your picture shows you to be pretty well rested up. Are you?

Will you be telling more of your VBS week? That is sooooo good for the kids.

Happy Anniversary, Betty and John!
Congratulations Mrs. Golden for getting the phone! You have a nice family.

Thanks for reading BP's book so far, I don't know when Chapter Six will come. I don't think she has a title for it either.

Well, greetings from one Canadian blogger to another! I was just wondering today how you are doing as you haven't posted in awhile. I love the picture of you in the restaurant. You have beautiful, kind eyes.

So, Betty and I have a few things in common. We are both the eldest in the family and we both have a daughter named 'Amy'. But Betty has 5 children. I only have 2, but I have 5 grandchildren.

Dear Terry,
I am stunned over how beautiful you looked in that restaurant- and - yes your eyes.
I hope you are half as good as you look. Then things must be just much better.
have long lost counting over all birthddays and celebrations in the Golden family.
How many are there with grand parents, siblings, spouses, grandchildren e.t.c.?
Aren't they blessed to have you among them to keep record and honor each and everyone.
Mom Golden is looking so sharp, new cellphone and new camera lately.
She sure is up to date. Guess raing all those kids and keeping track of grandchildren as well helped her stay in touch with what's going on.
You should be pround of her and yourselves.
