Birthday Candles on the Prairies

I just heard over at the Pilgrim Pals that Leo, Saija's dear husband had a birthday yesterday!
It seems that I am wishing many a belated birthday these days but I figure better late than never, eh?
Especially when one is celebrating his 54th birthday!
Happy Birthday dear Leo of the Manitoba prairies, looking right handsome beside your beautiful wife, Saija in a Manitoba sunrise!!

hi there, terry! i am always a 'belated wisher of happy events' as well. *sigh* shame on me!

i just stay too busy/distracted these days. again, shame on me!

anyhow... i got your message via claire's pony express. *hee* i only got that one first email you sent me.... AND i replied to it as well. it didn't get returned to me, so i just wonder where the thing went to?!?! hmm...

so, i'm posting the direct link to my new blog (my old blog, which you must be visiting, i guess (s'pose i need to update the link on blogger!! ack!) and there is a link to it there on the very first post, but here it is just for you:::

society for the preservation of my sanity

my old blog program M O V E A B L E T Y P E got hacked so that i was getting flooded w/spam comments and my server/host shut me down!!! the only way i could keep the thing "as is" was to either come up with a way to block the spam (who?? me?!?) or to let them disable my comments!

well!! that just wouldn't do, so i switched to another blog platform (WORDPRESS!!) and started using that. only i can't import the old MT stuff to the new blog b/c a file is missing (& no one seems to know where i can find it! gah!) so i just made a new home for the blog and placed a link to the old one for those who wanna read old posts.

*exhales*

and you thought YOU were long-winded! ;)

hope to see you at my place. (you DO have to register to comment, but it's easy)

cu soon! :D

Mrs. Shirkie..Do you know how tempting it is...really?! Thank you for the heads-up anyway. Oh, it is really tempting...

Where are you?! Have you been busy? How's your mom? It's been AGES since you wrote me back over here.

You have got to read the comment I left on the Pals post titled Remember Him...it's about your little Montreal girl. You know I almost said something at the end, but I decided against it at the last minute. She's still mad that I told Donna something about her and I won't tell sister what exactly I said! By the way, is Donna's last name Butler? I'd feel much better calling her by her last name...it's the way my parents raised me, you know. And I do wish Saija would tell me hers. But I better stop whining, or you might tell me another tooth story, and upset my stomach for a few more days...forget what I said about the cream...I'm sure it was those stories ;)

I'm supposed to be working on some stuff for a friend's business, but you can tell what I'm really doing! If I blitz I should get the e-mail list and all together in time for the deadline I have!

I have a new job walking a German Shepherd 3 or 4 times a week, 30-45 min. a walk. There is nothing like the feeling of power and ocntrol when you have one of these dogs at the end of a leash. And I just said that for the first time in my life I don't want my own dog...and now I am wishing again. I should just be content I have this big dog to walk wthout all the burdens and responsibilities that come with ownsership...after all that's the whole resaon DON'T want one. I don't want to be tied down...as though I'm going somewhere, right?!

Yes, I'm going back to Pals! See you!

God bless you,
Ani ohav o'tach!

Ok Terry, don't feel bad about being late on these birthdays lately. It isn't your fault people don't tell you.
So I'm just glad to know they had one, consider the alternative.

Lil Pilgrim, it is nice to hear from you again. Through Terry is the only way I can keep up with you.
I'm glad you are feeling better, I hope the medicine treats you nicely and works as planned and prayed for.

For Leo now. Please accept my condolances for the loss of your father. I just now read about it on the prayer page.
I hope it's ok to leave the birthday message on, I could take it off. But you did have a birthday, I'm sorry it was just before your dad died.

My father died this January. Life just isn't the same when you don't have a dad anymore.
BUT, life does go on and now we can be thinking of him in a different way.
At times like this a support group helps a lot. I know Saija is very special to you and is your best companion in times like these. [And you would be for her if the roles were reversed.]
