Salvation For Us All.....

I took this picture at Katy's Tuesday evening.

Spotting a sail boat out on the lake, I zoomed in on it with my camera.

It made me think of the verse in Matthew 4:19...."And He saith unto them, Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."

The days are dark as we know, and are growing even darker as the sun is setting lower.
Nevertheless, we must be encouraged to spread the gospel still to our family, friends and those we meet along life's path and yes even to our enemies; all of these who know not the Lord nor believe in the great Salvation that is open to us all.

Luke 4:40..."Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick, with divers diseases brought them unto Him; and he laid his hands on everyone of them and healed them."

The sickness that we have is our sins and the Lord Jesus is willing to heal us, everyone!!!

Isaiah 53:5..."For he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed".

Emily's Celebration

I was going to compose a different posting tonight but I have changed my mind...It can wait for another day!

Tonight after the Gospel meeting, Bernie and I went to our usual place, Macdonald's for a quick cup of coffee.

When I went through the door, I met a Chrisian couple that we have known ever since we met them on a bus trip that was going to hear the Cathedral Quartet, who were having their "Farewell to Canada Concert".

With them sat a pretty little girl of about ten years old.

I am always attracted to children.

Quickly I ran to their table, explaining as I arrived, " I NEVER leave home without it!!"

I then, of course produced my camera!

They quickly wiped their mouths and without a single argument, let me take their picture, after which I asked them, "Well, and who is this pretty little girl?"

"Her name is Emily and she was just baptized tonight and we are celebrating."

"How wonderful!!"

Emily was baptized in the lake along with about 20 others who were also obeying the Lord by being baptized.

My prayer for little Emily and these 20 others is that they will truly go on living a true Christian life and that they will be a real testimony to those around them!

Acts 2:41...Then they which gladly received his word were baptized:
