Hebrews 11:1 and passing-thru thanks for your comments , but I would like to add something .
When I was very young and kinda poor but rich in family love I was taught to be blessed with what I recieved in life ! I was taught to want what was mine but to always give back what was not mine ? When my kids mom and I raised our children around the house, my kids, my wife and I could lay money , the kids could set a bag of candy - or whatever was yours on the fireplace mantle or bedroom dresser and if it laid there 3 weeks , when you went back to get it , it was always there ! This is not wrote to condemn anyone but there is not enough taught to respect what belongs to others ?
I thank God everyday because my kids are living that every day in their lives !
I know that I'm a truly Blessed man !

Words Of Wisdom From Grandpaw Ron

this was a post that my grandpaw ron sent to us over at pilgrim pals a while back and i thought it worth putting it here......grandpaw ron has been ill and has been in a hospital home for several weeks because of a bad fall....grandpaw ron lives the way that this post is written and even though he is having bad days, the people around him will surely realize what a great christian man he is....bernie and i miss him so much!

grandpaw ron wrote.

"Its not what you gather in life, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived “.
Several years ago , a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had the opportunityto ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.
When he sat down he discovered that the driver had accidently given him a quarter too much in change.
As he considered what to do , he thought to himself, “you’d better give the quarter back It would be wrong to keep it. ” Then he thought , ” Oh, forget it, its only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount anyway, and the bus company gets too much fare allready, they will nevermiss it. Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet.”
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the quarter to the driver and said,” Here you gave me too much change. “
The driver, with a smile , replied, “Aren’t you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you to much change. I’ll see you at church on Sunday. “
When the preacher stepped off the bus , he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said,.
“Oh God I almost sold your SON for a quarter .”
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christains and will put us to the test ! Always be on guard–and remember–You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself “Christian.”
” Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits.Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
The moral is ” We will not be remembered by our words , but by our kind deeds.”

here is the georgian home of amazing grace man aka grandpaw ron aka paparon, and today it is an exciting day...it is brittani's 13th birthday.
as you can see grandpaw ron's is a home of faith where there is plenty of room for the lord...you can see the rules that his house lives by and they are certainly good rules!
princess is very proud of these rules because it makes for a very happy and peaceful household!


now as i was saying, it is brittani's 13th birthday but alas i missed taylor's birthday on may the 16th and so to be fair, i am going to celebrate her belated birthday today and i really don't think that her sweet sister, brittani will mind at all!


so...... first of all,,,,

happy birthday brittani and welcome to the world of being a teenager!
i can see that paparon will have to keep a good eye on you..you have gotten so pretty!
trust me, that princess will have a hand in this too...!




and now for taylor, the little girl who all of us were praying for two years or so years ago..you seem very well and happy and it is your turn...

i was all set to put a post in about the manitoba flowers when out of the dark came this message from my grandpaw ron,


grandpaw ron writes;
"Last Friday [ the 28th of august] the Judge granted me custody of the girls until they are 18 years old ! They doing ok ! Me two ? Just wanted to say Hi ! Blessings to you ."

such good, good news for both grandpaw ron and his two precious grand girls.
i could not keep this news to myself because there are so many friends who have taken to grandpaw ron.
this is a day of celebration for sure!

this friday grandpaw ron's girl, taylor turned ten and although this is a couple days late mr. bernie and i and our fat cat, shopper wish to her a happy birthday.
i am sure that amazing grace man, ron made her a nice cake[not!] but just in case we have ordered little ten year old, taylor a fresh one from google.
now taylor is a great baker in her own right but she can't bake her own birthday cake!for sure and she can't!

i am really sorry that adi and amber and katrina didn't make it over to canada for a photo shoot of your birthday but that grandpaw, of yours who was the little birdie that told me about your special day gave me too short of a notice!.....always got his nose in a book, he has....a facebook!!!!

Short and to the point,eh?
Not so with his third post. This writing tells us the bent of Grandpaw Ron's life mainly his Lord and his family. It is oh so beautiful!

"Through life I have at least tried to remember the things that was beneficial to me as I grew older ! As a young boy I remember the the times that my great aunt carried all of us grandboys to church! She was one of those loving Aunts that believe in boys being boys ,although she believed that we should be taught there was a time and place for us to do our thing! Now I was raised in a Tradional Baptist church and I don’t know how She carried all 12 boys to church and managed her sanity at the same time? I do remember that she would carry about a five foot peach tree switch and she sat with us where she could reach us with it! You ask, why do I want to remember that ? It instilled in me and my cousins the other values in life that we needed at an early years ! She had certian times of the week for us to study our bible and sunday school lesson and we had all better show up ? One of the reasons we would all show is all of them big plate of homemade cookies with a glass of milk right out of the cow [ only cooled down ] that could touch any growing boy’s heart? My point is that all of our parents and grandparents should not neglect our opportunities to plant the seeds in our childrens hearts while they are at an early age ! If we start at an early age then we don’t have to start when they get older which causes other problems ? Grandparents I challenge you to take up the responsible jobs that your kids are not doing? Pray about it and then accept the challenges God puts on your heart ? Every child an adult should know the story of the Picture above ? I know because I personally have had that experience ? This year Grandpaw Ron received two special gifts from the Lord for Christmas and also for his birthday.


Here amazing grace man tells it in his own words;

"I feel as I am blessed very much ? although I wished these circomstances had not happened ? I will be 64 in 7 days and I feel that God is in charge ! He knew what an old man that has some of the same things wrong with his legs also , He knew what kind of treatment to give me for my pain
All is well just trying to keep things going . I now have added to additions to mine and princess’s family ! I took custody of two of my granddaughters and now I’m starting over raising two granddaughters that are 11 years and 9 years old ? Things are going alright so far."
"They have been little troupers today because they have been vacceumning and dusting the house and helping to clean it up for inspection next week from the case worker ! They have got it looking pretty good ? They were working so hard and I asked them why ! They said because we want to make sure we can live with you !
They also said because I was a very good cook ? They also know paparon refuses to spare the rod ? They are real good kids and I love them much . I haven’t had any trouble with them ?"

"its been 6 years since I even put up a Christmas tree or any lights around my porch ? Today we got in the kitchen and made some Pecan Brittle . Its better than peanut brittle ?
They are a blessing to me and they are a lot of help and fair to middling about cleaning up after themselves ?"

"Recieved a blessing this morning ! Me and the girls made 7 dozen Merry Christmas Fruitcake Cookies this morning ? We also made 3 dozen Fruitcake Squares this morning made like you cook brownies ? I cain’t walk around much but I can sit on my stool in the kitchen and cook up some good grub ?? When its kinda chilly they like to sit under the Christmas lights on my porch and drink hot chocolate and dip cookies in chocolate and eat them ? I always have a cup of java with hazelnut coffee creamer ? Already spoiling them some more ??"

"I feel as if God placed me with this responsibility to share His everlasting love with me and to share it with these girls ?
With the guidance of my lord to lead me every day and help me teach them I ain’t gona worry too awful much cause of all the blessings I will recieve ? I already am indebeted to Him for the rest of my liife and I know He’ll allow me a little more instructions to try and Glorify His name ?"

Today is Grandpaw's birthday.

Good News From Grandpaw Ron

This evening, I paid a visit to our amazing grace man RRBJ.
This was his post and it is well worth reading
He has not been well lately but now says that he is feeling better.
We just thank the Lord for answered prayer.
On his blog, he has a real neat picture of Jesus that if you click on to it, the Lord walks right down the church isle and gives you His hand.

When I was 14years old Jesus came knocking on the door to my heart and I let Him in . I was young and the things I was taught sounded so real and I had stored them in my mind for many years but did not take them seriously ? My friends learn patience and you will find many of those things you heard will become real and help to grow your faith ?
Many years I spent hanging on and the last several years my Faith has really grown and I’ve found much peace in my heart and that Jesus’s Faithfulness has convinced I’m standing on a solid Rock !
That day that Jesus walked down that Isle and took me by my hand and said ” Come unto me and I will give you Peace ” ! The last few years those words have been my comfort ? I know that Jesus has been there for me Faithfully !

I have recieved many emails over the last month wanting to know if I’m alright ? I have not commented on blogs very little because it seemed I had to conquer the things going through my mind that was between Me and Jesus ? Since august I have had many Adversitys one after another ? I could not have got this far without the prayers from my church Family and my blogging friends ! I say to all of you ” Thanks ” ! I hope to start visiting the blogs and commenting ?

My last chapter I had fell again on the account of my ignorance got hold of me ? When I fell I fell straight down on my bottom and it disrupted every thing inside of me ? The last three weeks I have been recuperating and I’m about 95 percent ok now ?

Hello Everybody,

Thanks for your prayers and good wishes . Things have been gloomy the last few days ! I feel pretty rough and don’t know whether to run away or try to climb a tree at times ?

I will try to post tomorrow on my two long time friends ? Index finger and its cousin the thumb ? Seems strange cause they been with me all my life , I hope my toes don’t get to lonely cause I cain’t scratch them now ?

Just a short post about my experience ? This past week was quite an experience ! I haven’t ever had sugery but two times in my life , once when I was 5 years old I had a tonsilectomy and in 1998 had surgery in my left arm to clean out the bugs and that is all ?
I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes ! This mornings Doctor’s visit the Doctor said it was healing just fine ! I know that this has been one of the oddest weeks in my life ? First I have to get used to my long time friend [ all my life ] not being there ? When you are right handed your left hand only serves as a back up for your right hand ! Just yesterday 2 times my ignorance caught up with me and I bumped it hard enough to cry or cuss , but just decided to sing Jesus Loves Me . My friends don’t you ever believe for one minute that Our Shepherd don’t guard His Flock ! I have felt his presence many times in my life but never as much as I have this week ? I know He has helped me several days with my pain ? I am so blessed to Have Jesus in my life and so many of my friends and church family that I love very much !

This beautiful picture is compliments of two of my fellow church members that have been close friends for over 45 years ? Every summer they work in a resort in Montana ! Both are retired school employes ?

As you view this picture imagine The Shepherd sitting on top of that mountain and watching over His Flock and watching over one of His wooliest children [ Me ] ? Below is a few good words ?

The one who loves me most — even at my wooliest –is My Shepherd ! It was in such a ” wooly ” time that He helped me see how much He really loves His Sheep . All of my daily adventures and hardships causes me to leap into the Shepherds open arms and trust Him for dear life ! I hope you find the same encouragement I find in Him and you’ll be encouraged by His Faithfulness Too !

As you know amazing grace man is recuperating at home after a painful operation on his hand and he is unable to do much with the computer other than to read our blogs and so I thought that I would put this lovely song, sung by Doug Oldham on for him to listen to.

Cole writes "Hey everyone I know it has taken a long time but i have been trying to go to school and all. I am ok but I still hurt all the time and I throw up all the time. I know that it is going to be ok but I can not play football this year either. I try to go to school and I get to stay for a while but not all day most of the time. My mom is having a hard time she is trying to go to school, take care of us. Taylor is ok she is just sick all the time but she does go to school. I am trying to be strong like her but sometimes I do not know how she does it. Thank you for praying for us." Cole

Happy Birthday Georgian Man

Poor man from Georgia RRBJ didn't have time to change his travelling suit so I just had to be content to take him as he was for his birthday card.
A little girl birdie told me today that it was her daddy's birthday so here is his card!

Actually he should be happy that I am even doing this for him!

All he gave Bernie and me and sweet Gracie for presents this year were pieces of coal in our hung up stockings!

See if I leave him a plate of canned carrots and Red Rose tea out next year!
