Ruby Red Spider, Pink Roses and One Lone Golden Dandelion

http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com
last week when i saw these lovely roses and just this one golden dandelion that had creeped in and joined the sweet smelling beautiful pink roses, i thought of...

THIS creature...this red spider in her spider web...now i must admit i had to order in from google images two photos...one of a spider web with a red background for ruby tuesday and one with a picture of a ruby red spider.
i put the two photos, after a fair amount of cropping....together!

and my mind thought of this verse...Proverbs 30:28
"The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces."

now do you think, my dear ruby tuesday friends that this lone dandelion which has made its way into this fine garden of roses is some what like this creepy spider?
hmmmmm....i was just wondering!...........happy ruby tuesday and don't you be afraid of this spider...when i sent her to the paint program, i, not on purpose mind you, accidentally squished her...alas!.............love terry

Your roses are always beyond perfection. Welland must be a perfect rose area, or you the constant gardener?
This year I wage my war against weed differently.
I eat it. Just you do some googleing about the dandelion, its leaves, root and even the blossom.
All can be used for medicinal purposes. And they are free.
Good luck.

Miss terry...I always enjoy your Ruby Tuesday Posts. You are always so witty and creative.
I'll tell you the truth...if my Xavier saw that ol' spider, he'd be doing some jigging and probably a little squealing too! LOL

What a great picture of the Queens White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace. Very beautiful.
I posted that picture of the Queen. I did not take the picture but it was taken with my camera. I stayed home because of a funeral for that lovely Lady I had in my Mudcat Parade post (my Great Aunt, father's side)
Nice thing about working for the Navy for so many years you get to know people!!!!! That is how the pic happened. Not to mention a huge lens I have for my camera

hi felisol.
well they aren't my roses.
actually they are a rose garden that is at the hospital.
you know that welland is called the rose city? this year the roses have been doing so well.
last year there weren't as many.
you are right about the dandelion.
dad golden was one of thirteen children and it was not unusual for gramma golden to go and pick lots of dandelions and make her children a meal out of the dandelion greens!
i love dandelions, myself felisol because they are always the first sign of spring!
it sounds like magical loves dandelions too, eh?...love terry

Beautiful photos, especially of roses. I use to have a fantastic rose garden at our last house.

I'm petrified of spiders...even a teenie, tiny one! lol I'll never forget the time I was picking yellow string beans from the veggie garden and my fingers closed on something soft. Just about passed out when I discovered I was touching a spider. UGH! I admit their webs are gorgeous but you'll never convince me that spiders are too! hehe

My dad use to pick dandelions and make dandelion wine with it. I've never tasted it since I was too young at the time and then he passed away...will have to ask mom if she still has his recipe for it.

I so love roses and have just finished taking pictures of the ones in my faerie garden. We did indeed see many gorgeous roses when we were in Welland for a bit last weekend:-) xoxo

I sure do like your ruby red roses a lot, Terry. I saw this blog featured on Blogs About: Ruby Red [ http://www.blogged.com/topics/ruby-red/ ]
tonight. We are in London still and I am not blogging much now. But I will come home the 20th. Mrs. Jim will follow Aug 4. She is going to be a Granny Nanny for a bit.
